The Evolution of HSP – Shifting the Narrative

High Street Positives (HSP) began with one core idea: we have to shift the narrative around the high street from decline to opportunity. That mindset change is at the heart of everything we do. Yes, high streets face real challenges – but they are also full of potential, energy, and people who care. HSP exists to amplify that potential and help more places move forward with confidence.

From Simple Posts to a Growing Movement

HSP started small – as simple, hopeful posts sharing positive stories and examples from high streets across the UK. The response was clear: people wanted a different conversation.

Last July, that spark became a newsletter, giving the growing community a regular place to find ideas, evidence, and good news worth sharing.

From there, momentum kept building. And from this April, HSP has become an active organisation – thanks to our early partners who helped kickstart this journey and believed in the mission from the start.

Who We Are Today

Today, HSP is a thriving and connected community of over 120 members. Our members are all stakeholders in the high street in different ways – from independents and local organisations to place leaders, practitioners, researchers, and champions working on the ground. What unites everyone is a shared belief in the high street as a living, evolving space that matters.

We are also proud to be supported by seven brilliant partners, all heavily vested in the success of the high street. Their support is not just symbolic – it is a real statement of belief in our mission. By aligning with HSP and partnering with us, they are actively showing their commitment to high streets as places of opportunity, connection, and local pride. A MASSIVE thank you Nexus Planning, Widd, The Mosaic Partnership, Kesslers London, Greenwoods Legal LLP, Hotel Chocolat and to our new partner We are Acuity.

Why Today Matters – Our First Webinar

Which brings us to today – a real milestone. We are hosting our very first HSP webinar. This is a new way for us to bring the community together, share practical learning, and spotlight what is working. It is the start of a bigger programme of connection and knowledge-sharing designed to support people who are shaping high streets every day.

2026 and Beyond – More Ways to Connect

This first webinar is only the beginning. In 2026, you will see regular webinars throughout the year, creating a steady rhythm of motivation, insight, inspiration, and shared problem solving across the network.

We will also be hosting a roadmap of physical events hosted on high streets, shaped around local challenges and opportunities. These sessions are about changing the narrative, partnership working and being on the ground, learning in place, and helping local partnerships turn ideas into action.

Looking for New Partners for 2026

As we grow into 2026, we are looking for new partners who want to stand with the high street and help drive this shift in narrative and action. If your organisation is interested in aligning with our mission and supporting a growing national community focused on high street opportunity, we would love to hear from you.

HSP has come a long way – from simple posts, to a newsletter, to an active organisation and a growing movement. And the most exciting part is what comes next!!!!……
