Supporters:

Name and organisation for public acknowledgment (no member data shared)

To send newsletters and community updates based on your preferences
To manage memberships, payments, and access
To enable optional member profiles and forums

To publicly thank supporters (member data is never shared)

Subscribers:

Monthly newsletter and occasional HighStreetPositives updates

Members:

Welcome email
Weekly or monthly member update emails (you choose!)
Early access to stories, events, and resources

You can unsubscribe or change preferences at any time.

6. Legal Grounds for Processing

Consent (when you sign up)
Contract (when you become a paid member)
Legitimate interest (to protect the community, improve services, and manage operations)

7. Data Sharing & Supporters

We never sell your data.
We only use GDPR-compliant tools: Stripe, Beehiiv, WordPress, Paid Memberships Pro, BuddyPress.
Supporters do not access any personal data — they are acknowledged publicly only.

We use cookies to improve your experience and track site performance.

9. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

Access, correct, or delete your data
Withdraw consent at any time
Restrict or object to processing

10. Data Retention

Newsletter: We retain your email until you unsubscribe
Membership: We retain your data while you’re an active member. If you cancel, your data will be deleted within 30 days (unless required for legal reasons)

11. Community Code of Conduct

We believe in kindness, inclusion, and respect. When you join HighStreetPositives, you agree to:

Be supportive and respectful to other members
Avoid hate speech, harassment, or spam
Share ideas constructively
Abide by all community guidelines

We reserve the right to remove anyone from the community who breaches this code, with or without warning, to protect a positive environment for all. If you are removed for breaching the code of conduct or any part of our Terms & Conditions, no refunds will be issued.
